On the 30th of March 2024, the Ministers of Foreign Affairs from Egypt, France, and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan convened a meeting in Cairo to discuss the Palestinian question and the current situation in Gaza. During the meeting, the Ministers respectfully deliberated and hereby issued a statement outlining their collective position on the matter.

They strongly condemn all violations and abuses of international law and international humanitarian law. Such actions are unacceptable and must be stopped immediately.”
The Ministers warned against the horrific consequences over the humanitarian situation, the famine and the collapse of the health system in the Gaza Strip, and stressed their opposition to any attempts of forcible transfer and displacement of the Palestinian People which are illegal under International Law.
They also Highlighted the importance of the role of Egypt in the efforts aiming at reducing the suffering of the civilian population in Gaza as well as in the negotiations addressing the issues of ceasefire, hostages and detainees.
They requested the enforcement of the interim measures decided by the International Court of Justice on January 26th and March 28th, 2024.
The international community has called for the swift, safe and unobstructed delivery of humanitarian aid to the civilian population in Gaza. They demand that Israel remove all barriers and allow the full use of all land crossings, while increasing their capacity to expand the flow of aid, in accordance with relevant Security Council resolutions.
They commend the vital efforts of the United Nations and its agencies, particularly UNRWA, for their crucial role in providing life-saving humanitarian aid to the civilian population in the Gaza Strip. I emphasize the significance of respecting and safeguarding all humanitarian personnel, ensuring their access to and freedom of movement throughout Gaza, including the northern part.
The ministers opposed any military attack on Rafah, that shelters 1.5 million displaced Palestinians, as any attack on Rafah will incur massive loss of life and exacerbate the dire humanitarian situation in Gaza Strip.
They called for upholding unchanged the Status Quo of Jerusalem’s Holy Sites, including the role of the Jordanian Jerusalem Awqaf Department under the Hashemite custodianship, and expressed their deep concern by the growing pressure against Christian and Muslim communities in Jerusalem.
