CIB Foundation inked a finance arrangement with Hand-in-Hand worth EGP 4.7 million

The CIB Foundation, the bank’s non-profit organization, has signed a financing agreement with Hand-in-Hand, non-profit organization, which aims to help improve the overall quality of life of the amputee population in Egypt. This agreement will enable Hand-in-Hand to provide artificial limbs to over 400 Egyptian amputee children.

Hand-in-Hand designs and manufacturers prosthetic devices for amputees using 3D printing technology, which offers a customizable, efficient, and reliable alternative for traditional prosthetic limbs at no cost.

Commenting on the agreement, Sherif El-Said, Manager of CIB Foundation, said, “We are very pleased to be partnering with Hand-in-Hand, as this financing underscores the bank’s commitment towards improving the lives of underprivileged children across Egypt. Giving these young Egyptians their mobility goes a long way in providing them with the care they deserve.

Omar Safi El-Din, Founder and Board President of Hand-in-Hand Foundation, stated, “We are grateful to have the significant support from the CIB Foundation. This financing accelerates our mission to reach low income communities and improve the lives of Egyptian amputee children.”

The signing ceremony took place in the presence of Mrs. Nadia Hosny, Secretary General of CIB Foundation Board of Trustees, Sherif El-Said, Manager of CIB Foundation, Dina Ahmed, Senior Programs Officer of CIB Foundation, Lojayn Hussein, Programs Officer of CIB Foundation, and Irinie Safwat, Programs Officer of CIB Foundation.

Established in 2010, the CIB Foundation is dedicated to improving healthcare and nutrition services extended to children of underprivileged families with limited access to quality healthcare by developing life-changing community initiatives.

The Foundation’s efforts not only include the donation of money, but also the monitoring and follow-up on the impact of its projects. CIB Foundation works with private, public and non-governmental healthcare providers that offer free-of-charge services to ensure the widest community reach, maximize the value of the work, and to achieve positive and sustainable results.
