Civil Aviation Minister Mohamed Abbas said operating Cairo-Manchester airline underlines the depth of the Egyptian-UK relations.
His remarks came during the departure of the first flight from Cairo to Manchester.
The minister affirmed that this brings the number of EgyptAir flights to the UK to 20 weekly flights; 14 flights to London, 5 to Manchester, and 1 flight from Luxor to Heathrow.
Abbas further noted that EgyptAir launched this year several new lines, like Dhaka in Bangladesh, New York in the US, and now Manchester in the UK.
He said a new New Delhi airline will be operated, soon alongside several other airlines.
