Al Ahly beat (27-24) Zamalek to win the African Super Cup of Handball 2023. As a result, the Cairo club qualified for the 2023 IHF Men’s Super Globe.
On the other hand, Zamalek reached the final after dominating JS Kinshasa of DR Congo in the semi-final 46-25, while Al Ahly qualified directly after the withdrawal of Esperance Sportive de Tunis.
