African Union Uses AI Training to Strengthen Journalism abilities

In a continual endeavor to strengthen the skills of African journalists and media professionals in Egypt, Eman El Waraki, an investigative journalist and the founder of the “Artificial Intelligence (AI) Revolution” initiative, has been selected to take part in a specialized training program focused on the intersection of artificial intelligence and journalism.

The “AfroMedia” initiative will launch the course following Monday at the Journalists’ Syndicate, strategically aligning with the commemoration of Africa Day. This timing coincides with the anniversary of establishing the Organization of African Unity and World Press Freedom Day, underscoring its relevance and significance. According to local media, the initiative aims to bring together different segments of African society and raise awareness of the importance of media programs.

With extensive experience in journalism and AI, El Waraki will enhance the training content and improve the skills of participating journalists and media professionals. This supports the initiative’s goal of providing intelligent and innovative journalism reflecting African society’s diversity and integration.

El Waraki is an investigative journalist and international trainer who has received six international and local awards in investigative journalism, including the Arab Journalism Award. Eman El Waraki, a renowned investigative journalist and the visionary behind the ‘Artificial Intelligence (AI) Revolution’ initiative, will share his expertise with African journalists and media professionals in Egypt. The training course will focus on the intersection of artificial intelligence and journalism.
