Yesterday, Egypt’s Minister of Environment, Yasmine Fouad, asserted that the political leadership is focusing more and more on the transition to clean energy.
She stated that the Egyptian government has supported this issue during COP27, emphasizing Egypt’s increased interest in assisting the industry sector in relying on low-cost technology that reduces carbon emissions to achieve and secure a sustainable energy future.
Fouad made the remarks while speaking at a session titled “Sustainability of Energy” on the sidelines of the Egypt Energy Show (EGYPES 2024) in the presence of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Minister Tarek El-Molla.
During the session, the minister further discussed the challenges of transitioning to clean energy.
The minister proceeded to thank Minister El-Tarek Molla, the participants, and the organizers for inviting him and ensuring that the event ran smoothly.
Under President Abdel Fattah El Sisi’s patronage and with the support of the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, EGYPES 2024 has served as a forum for exploring the latest industry trends and fostering regional progress.
From discussing cutting-edge technologies to forming strategic partnerships, numerous opportunities exist to make meaningful contributions and drive positive change.
