An interactive workshop aimed at promoting economic and social empowerment of women through cinema was held at the 8th Aswan Women’s Film Festival.
The workshop took place last Wednesday at 1 p.m. and is part of the Women’s Economic and Social Empowerment Program that is funded by USAID. The program will be implemented by Pathfinder International at the festival.
This workshop is a part of the program’s vision toward media and film industry with the aim to highlight women’s issues in the Egyptian society and emphasize their importance in contributing to the betterment of the social and economic lives of women and girls.
The workshop aimed to disseminate positive images of social and economic empowerment of women in various aspects of life.
It is important to highlight that the program operates in a collaborative manner with diverse government partners, including the Ministry of International Cooperation, the Ministry of Social Solidarity, and the National Council for Women. This partnership spans five years, culminating in the year 2027.
