United Media Services just published the official song for the New Alamein Festival, “Alam Khayaly” (Imaginary World), sung by Amir Youssef and Yara Edward. The music video for the song was shot in the city of New Alamein and properly reflected joyful summer vibes.
“Alam Khayaly” is not only performed by Amir Youssef and Yara Edward but is also written and composed by Amir Youssef, with musical arrangement by Mahmoud Sabry. Additionally, the song features a choir by Jamal Fathi, Abdel Wahab Al-Rafi’i, and Amir Youssef. The song was recorded by Tarek Ellish and produced by Nile Radio.
The second edition of the New Alamein Festival commenced on July 11 and is scheduled to run until August 30. This year’s festival boasts an extensive lineup of artistic and sporting events, building upon the success of the inaugural edition held last year. In a strategic effort to constrain electricity load consumption, the festival will host 50% of its activities during the day and is committed to utilizing solar energy and electric generators.
Despite the prevailing circumstances, the Alamein Festival has chosen to launch its second edition under the slogan ‘Alamein, the World,’ symbolizing unity by raising the Palestinian flag alongside the Egyptian flag. Furthermore, the festival has made the admirable decision to allocate 60% of the profits from the second edition to provide aid and support to the people in Palestine. This means that every Egyptian or Arab family participating in the festival’s activities and events will contribute to supporting a Palestinian family and displaying solidarity and empathy.
