UNESCO Appoints Dr. Rasha Sherif to the Board of Int’l Bureau of Education

The Director-General of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) has issued a decision appointing Dr. Rasha Saad Sherif, Secretary-General of Egypt’s Education Development Fund, affiliated with the Cabinet of Ministers, as a member of the Board of the International Bureau of Education (IBE), UNESCO’s specialized education institute headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland.

The appointment recognizes Dr. Sherif’s prominent role and distinguished contributions to education policy development, education system reform, and efforts to align education with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It also reflects her extensive experience in strategic planning and building international partnerships.

The International Bureau of Education is UNESCO’s global center of excellence for curriculum, learning, and education systems transformation, working with governments worldwide to improve the quality, equity, and relevance of education.
