The UN in Egypt delivered US$ 160.4 M of joint activities in Egypt in 2022, a newly released UN in Egypt report revealed.
The UN in Egypt Annual Country Team Results Report 2022 tackles the results of four key results areas; inclusive economic development, social justice, environmental sustainability and natural resource management, and women’s empowerment.
2022 was the fifth and final year of implementing the UN Partnership Development Framework, UNPDF (2018-2022). Through the four UNPDF outcomes, the UN in Egypt continued its support of Egypt’s national priorities and strategic plans. The implementation of the UNPDF in 2022 reached an expenditure of US$ 160.4 M with a delivery rate of 88 %. The highest delivery rate of 98% was achieved by Outcome 1, Inclusive Economic Development, and Outcome 4, Women’s Empowerment, with a 90% delivery rate. Outcome 2, Social Justice, achieved a delivery rate of 86%, and Outcome 3, Environmental Sustainability, achieved 79%.
