TRENDS Youth Council Hosts Discussion with Egypt’s Minister of Youth at Cairo Int’l Book Fair 2025

The TRENDS Youth Council recently held a dynamic discussion session with Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, Egypt’s Minister of Youth and Sports, during TRENDS Research & Advisory’s fourth participation in the Cairo International Book Fair 2025.

The session focused on the critical need for specialised training programs in leadership and scientific research, alongside enhancing communication channels between young professionals across both public and private sectors. Participants also emphasized the importance of fostering collaboration among relevant institutions to create an environment conducive to innovation and initiative.

Notable attendees included Dr. Abdullah Al-Batish, Assistant Minister of Youth and Sports for Youth Centres Affairs; Dr. Manal Gamal, Undersecretary of the Ministry and Head of the Central Administration for Youth Empowerment; and members of the TRENDS Youth Council.

Dr. Sobhy commended TRENDS Research & Advisory for its significant role in various research sectors and its strong presence among global think tanks. He praised the organisation’s exceptional work in empowering young researchers and expressed the Ministry’s openness to collaboration with TRENDS in areas such as youth empowerment and training programs.

The Minister also highlighted the Ministry’s ongoing training initiatives at youth development centers aimed at countering extremist ideologies and misinformation. He underscored the potential for collaboration in the fields of artificial intelligence and cybersecurity, noting that these technologies could play a pivotal role in advancing youth development and community progress. Dr. Sobhy further emphasized the importance of sharing expertise to combat extremist ideologies and address societal changes among young people.

Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al-Ali, CEO of TRENDS Research & Advisory, stated that preparing a new generation of future leaders requires well-defined strategic plans for youth empowerment. He called for specialised training programs and workshops to enhance young people’s capabilities, equipping them with both practical and scientific expertise. Additionally, he highlighted the significance of leveraging digital technology to foster sustainable learning and facilitate effective communication.

The members of the TRENDS Youth Council expressed their gratitude for the opportunities provided by TRENDS to engage actively in scientific research and international events. They noted that these opportunities not only enhance their skills and equip them with innovative tools but also enable them to contribute meaningfully to societal progress across various sectors.
