Top 50 Women Forum Honors Egypt’s Trailblazing Women and Disruptive Startups at Amwal Al Ghad 2025

Under the patronage of Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly, the Amwal Al Ghad Awards 2025 illuminated the achievements of Egypt’s most dynamic change-makers in business, technology, and public service. Held at the Four Seasons Nile Plaza, the 10th edition of the annual ceremony paid tribute to the architects of Egypt’s innovation economy—with a powerful emphasis on female leadership and entrepreneurial impact.

This year’s celebration showcased a sweeping narrative of economic transformation, from female boardroom powerhouses and policy trailblazers to disruptive startups shaping the future of finance, education, mobility, and tech.


Entrepreneurs of the Year

The coveted Entrepreneurs of the Year awards were presented to seven standout startups making waves in Egypt’s digital and knowledge economy. The honorees were recognized for their role in job creation, scalability, and alignment with Egypt Vision 2030.

  • Lucky – for revolutionizing consumer finance through smart digital lending
  • Sahl – for streamlining bill payments and e-services for millions
  • iSchool – for advancing tech education and coding literacy for youth
  • Zeal – for reimagining customer loyalty through AI-driven platforms
  • Sprints – for bridging Egypt’s tech talent gap with workforce-ready training
  • Swypex – for simplifying expense management for the modern business
  • Dkilo – for launching Egypt’s first smart mobility advertising ecosystem

Women at the Helm: Honoring the 50 Most Influential

A defining highlight of the evening was the unveiling of Egypt’s 50 Most Influential Women, a list that cuts across politics, finance, industry, academia, and civil society. This year’s honorees included senior executives, governors, legislators, and NGO founders, all credited with driving transformation in their fields.

Eight iconic Egyptian women received the Lifetime Achievement Award for decades of service that shaped Egypt’s economic, legal, and humanitarian landscape:

  • Mona Zulficar – legal pioneer and human rights advocate
  • Azza Fahmy – globally renowned jewelry designer and cultural entrepreneur
  • Dr. Ghada Waly – Executive Director, UN Office on Drugs and Crime
  • Amb. Moushira Khattab, former Minister for Family and Population
  • Dr. Hala Elsaid, former Minister of Planning and Development
  • Lobna Helal, former Deputy Governor, Central Bank of Egypt
  • Amb. Nabila Makram, advocate for expatriate inclusion
  • Yousriya Loza Sawiris, philanthropist and founder of Sawiris Foundation

Resilient Nation in a Region Under Strain

Despite regional turbulence, the awards ceremony underscored Egypt’s enduring economic resilience, bolstered by structural reforms, digital acceleration, and a surge in women-led and youth-led enterprises.

As conflict loomed over nearby regions, Abdel Fattah opened the evening by stressing unity and long-term vision:

Since its launch in 2015, the Amwal Al Ghad Awards have evolved into one of Egypt’s foremost platforms for celebrating entrepreneurial leadership, gender equity, sustainability, and inclusive growth.

This year’s event, themed “Celebrating the Visionaries Redefining Success,” was organized by Amwal Al Ghad in partnership with the Top 50 Women Forum.
