The 2nd Edition of NMEC Kicks Off On Sidelines of COP 27

Contemporary artist, Randa Fouad- Cofounder of World Art Forum (WAF)- paid tribute that Egypt would be for the first time the host of the 27th edition of COP27, leading to an international momentum driven by the global challenge related to climate change.

Since chairing WAF, she has been exerting relentless efforts to complement the sustainable development goals in contemporary art to raise community awareness through the universal language of art.

As Randa acknowledges this instrumental role of arts, she affirmed WAF’s participation in the coming COP 27.

Randa made these remarks during the discussions held at the Narrative Summit’s series of “Voice of Egypt” Summit which brought together prominent figures. The forum involved a set of discussions on sustainable development

“Voice of Egypt” Summit sheds light on Egypt’s positive impact and main achievements related to the development projects and the prospects regarding the main issues locally and globally.  Randa also announced that the 2nd edition of the WAF Forum would be launched on the sidelines of COP27 to present forms of contemporary arts and their impact on waste recycling, along with its role in environmental protection. She also stated that the first edition hailed a success, witnessing the participation of exhibitions and artists from 30 countries.  This led accordingly to the launch of NMEC within the scope of Egypt’s Vision 2030.

The Summit also launched “Leap To COP”, coinciding with Egypt’s preparation to host COP 27.
