In an official statement, the company’s board of directors, executive leadership, and all employees extended their heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims.

The fire, which also disrupted mobile and internet services across parts of the capital, has left both the public and Egypt’s tech sector reeling. The affected building, a core facility in the country’s telecommunications infrastructure, sustained significant damage, and an investigation into the cause is ongoing.

Support for Victims’ Families and Injured Employees

Telecom Egypt pledged to provide comprehensive financial and moral support to the families of those who lost their lives in the fire. The company emphasized its responsibility to stand by the bereaved during this difficult period.

In addition, the company confirmed that injured employees have been transferred to hospitals and are receiving full medical care, with the firm committed to following up on their recovery and providing any necessary assistance.

A National Tragedy with Broad Impact

Monday’s fire prompted a temporary disruption of communications, sparking widespread concern over infrastructure resilience and emergency preparedness. Authorities are expected to release a full technical report once the fire investigation concludes.

Telecom Egypt’s tribute stands as a solemn reminder of the human cost behind the scenes of national infrastructure. As restoration efforts continue, the company is navigating not only the technical recovery but also a period of profound mourning and reflection.
