Telecom Egypt and KareXpert Partner to Launch AI-Driven National Healthcare Cloud Platform

In a strategic move that could reshape Egypt’s healthcare ecosystem, Telecom Egypt has entered into a partnership with KareXpert, a Reliance Jio-backed digital health innovator, to build and deploy an AI-powered national healthcare platform on Egypt’s sovereign cloud infrastructure.

The initiative, aligned with Egypt’s Vision 2030 digital transformation strategy, aims to revolutionize the country’s health sector by streamlining hospital operations, safeguarding sensitive medical data, and improving the delivery of patient care.

The agreement, formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), will bring to life a comprehensive Hospital Information Management System (HIMS), integrate unified electronic medical records (EMRs), and offer revenue cycle management solutions. Together, these tools are expected to optimize both clinical and administrative workflows across public and private healthcare institutions.

“This partnership underscores Egypt’s commitment to building a digitally integrated healthcare infrastructure,” said a spokesperson from Telecom Egypt. “By localizing critical data and deploying advanced AI technologies, we’re taking a significant step toward a resilient and patient-centric healthcare system.”

KareXpert brings extensive experience to the table. Its cloud-native platform currently supports over 500 hospitals and 15 million patients across six countries, including major health networks such as Apollo Hospitals, CK Birla, and Reliance Health. The company’s end-to-end healthcare stack—powered by AI and built on modern architecture—is designed to deliver real-time diagnostics, patient tracking, clinical documentation, and hospital resource optimization.

“Our goal is to make smart healthcare accessible, secure, and scalable,” said Nidhi Jain, Founder and CEO of KareXpert. “Egypt is laying the groundwork for a future-ready health ecosystem, and we’re honored to be part of that transformation.”

The platform will be hosted on Egypt’s national cloud, ensuring compliance with local data sovereignty laws and reinforcing cybersecurity safeguards. It is expected to be rolled out in phases, with initial deployments focusing on high-traffic hospitals and healthcare centers.

The collaboration also holds broader geopolitical significance. As nations across the Middle East and Africa race to modernize their healthcare systems, Egypt’s partnership with an Indian tech firm signals a growing trend of South-South cooperation in digital innovation and public health.

With this initiative, Egypt joins a global wave of nations leveraging artificial intelligence to bridge gaps in healthcare access, improve efficiency, and future-proof their medical infrastructure.
