Suez Canal Yacht Marina and Monaco Yacht Club Forge Strategic Partnership to Enhance Global Yacht Tourism

Suez Canal Yacht Marina in Ismailia recently hosted Bernard D’Alessandri, Secretary General and Managing Director of Monaco Yacht Club, along with a high-ranking delegation, in the presence of marina officials and senior leaders of the Suez Canal Authority.

This visit highlights the marina’s commitment to strengthening communication with key stakeholders in the yacht tourism sector. Monaco Yacht Club, an international hub, brings together more than 2,500 members from 80 nationalities, all involved in the global yacht industry.

The visit included the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for joint cooperation. Eng. Nashat Nasr El-Din, Director of Movements at Suez Canal Yacht Marina, signed the agreement on behalf of the marina, while Bernard D’Alessandri, Secretary General and Managing Director of Monaco Yacht Club, signed for the club. José Marco Casellini, CEO of Monaco Marina Management, also witnessed the signing.

The MoU focuses on cooperation in marketing, knowledge exchange, and service provision between the two parties. As part of the agreement, Suez Canal Yacht Marina will offer Monaco Yacht Club members an exclusive package of incentives and facilities for canal transit, docking, and yacht storage services.

In his remarks, Bernard D’Alessandri expressed his pleasure in visiting the Suez Canal Authority for the first time, allowing him to witness firsthand the scale of maritime and logistical services provided to clients by the Suez Canal. He praised the modern, sophisticated design of Suez Canal Yacht Marina, which successfully combines simplicity, luxury, and inclusivity to meet all the needs of its marina visitors.

D’Alessandri also commended the efforts of the Suez Canal Authority to localize yacht manufacturing to international standards, wishing success for the strategic plans of the authority.

The visit also included a maritime tour of the New Suez Canal, followed by a visit to the marine training simulators at the authority’s Maritime Training Academy, and concluded with a tour of the Suez Canal Museum, one of Ismailia’s major tourist attractions.
