Suez Canal Bank Sponsors FinTech Awards 2025 at the 4th Edition of the Top 50 Women Forum

Under the  award sponsorship of Suez Canal Bank, Nile University and the Top 50 Women Forum announced the winners of the FinTech Awards 2025, during the fourth edition of the Egyptian Women’s Summit, held over two days under the patronage of Egypt’s Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly.

The awards ceremony was held as part of the STEM & AI Challenge, organized in partnership with Nile University’s Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Competitiveness Center (IECC), with strategic support from Suez Canal Bank and TAQA Arabia, as part of ongoing efforts to support innovation and empower youth in science, technology, artificial intelligence and financial technology.

Strong Participation from Egyptian Universities

The competition witnessed wide participation, with more than 160 projects submitted by students from over 28 Egyptian universities. Following a competitive evaluation process, six projects were selected as winners, including three projects in FinTech and three in Industry & STEM, reflecting both the diversity and quality of the submitted ideas.

Ahead of the awards ceremony, Dr. Heba Labib, Assistant Vice President of Nile University for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, highlighted the importance of supporting student initiatives and linking scientific research with market needs, praising the advanced level of the participating projects.

FinTech Awards Ceremony

In the FinTech Awards category, Dina Abdel Fattah, Founder and Chairperson of the Top 50 Women Forum, invited Dr. Nour El- Zeny, Head of Corporate Communications, Financial Inclusion and Corporate Social Responsibility at Suez Canal Bank, to present the awards.

Each winning project received a cash prize of EGP 50,000, deposited into their dedicated Bedaya Saving Accounts, in support of transforming innovative ideas into viable and scalable solutions.

Dr. El- Zeny, reaffirmed Suez Canal Bank’s commitment to supporting innovation, empowering youth and encouraging the development of financial technology solutions that contribute to economic growth and financial inclusion.

FinTech Awards Winners

  • First Place: SplitEaseESLSCA University
    Represented by Nancy Abdallah Nabil Gamgoum, the project offers a digital application designed to simplify expense sharing among friends, supporting clearer and faster daily financial management.
  • Second Place: SAIVVNile University
    Represented by Salma Hisham Mohamed, Malak Mohamed Mahmoud, Mohamed Youssef Ismail, Rofan Ehab Ahmed, and Khadiga Nasser Mamdouh, the project provides an AI-powered solution for automating financial management to help businesses organize operations and improve decision-making efficiency.
  • Third Place: Harbour SafeAin Shams University
    Represented by Ahmed Ayman Ali, Ahmed Mahmoud El-Gohary, Mostafa Ahmed, Mostafa Hagras, and Karim Amr El-Sayed Seif, the project focuses on protecting sensitive personal and corporate data, including account information, emails and passwords, during the use of AI tools.

Supporting Innovation and Youth Empowerment

At the conclusion of the event, summit organizers expressed their appreciation to Dina Abdel Fattah, Dr. Heba Labib, and Suez Canal Bank for supporting the competition, which reflects a shared commitment to education, innovation, entrepreneurship and the development of a new generation capable of contributing to Egypt’s future economy.
