Youth and Sports Minister Ashraf Sobhi received Monday the Saudi United Bikers Team at the premises of the Sports and Youth Ministry at the New Administrative Capital (NAC).
The 32 cyclists started their visit to Egypt on December 28 and will stay until January 8 to promote for Egypt’s tourism in the governorates of Alexandria, Cairo and Red Sea.
In press statements, Sobhi underlined the depth of ties binding Egypt and Saudi Arabia, saying that the visit of the Saudi team to Egypt affirms its pioneering role in the Arab region.
Under President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, Egypt has witnessed a road construction boom, which created a new kind of sports tourism which is roads tourism, he said.
For his part, President of United Motorcycle Team in the Arab world Mostafa el Sherif extended thanks to the sports minister for the warm reception.
Egypt’s roads have witnessed an extraordinary boom during this period, he further said.
