Egypt’s Minister of Social Solidarity, Dr. Maya Morsy, in her capacity as Chairperson of the Board of the Civil Society Support Fund (CSF), held a high-level meeting with the fund’s working team to review ongoing initiatives and strengthen collaboration with the civil society sector.
The meeting was attended by senior ministry officials, including Eng. Margaret Sarofim, Deputy Minister of Social Solidarity; Ayman Abdel-Mawgoud, Permanent Undersecretary of the Ministry and Board Member of the Fund; Dr. Mohamed El-Okaby, Assistant Minister for Strategic Communications and Board Member; Hesham Mohamed, Director of the Minister’s Office; and Dr. Ahmed Saada, Executive Director of the Fund.
Fund’s Performance and Impact
During the session, Morsy commended the fund’s team for their “dedication and high-quality performance,” emphasizing that their efforts have had a direct positive impact on a wide range of projects implemented in partnership with Egypt’s expanding civil society ecosystem.
The minister underscored the strategic importance of the fund in supporting national development programs, noting that she relies heavily on the fund to execute and supervise key community initiatives across the country.
Calls for Continued Commitment
Morsy urged team members to maintain their level of commitment and professionalism, stressing that she plans to hold regular follow-up meetings with staff to ensure smooth progress on ongoing and upcoming projects.
