Dr. Maya Morsi, the Minister of Social Solidarity, recently honored the Ministry’s media management team, led by Dr. Mohamed El-Akabi, Assistant Minister for Strategic Communication and Media, as well as the official spokesperson for the Ministry. The recognition, given in November, highlights the team’s exceptional work in covering the Ministry’s activities and raising awareness of its projects and services.

In a statement, Dr. Morsi expressed her gratitude for the media team’s efforts, which resulted in a significant increase in visibility for the Ministry’s initiatives. She emphasized the crucial role that media plays in conveying the truth and showcasing the Ministry’s work, especially considering its vital role in serving a large segment of the population.

During the meeting, Dr. Morsi met with the media team, personally delivering certificates of appreciation and urging them to maintain their high standards. She also praised their professionalism in executing the media strategy developed in July, and reiterated her commitment to recognizing outstanding sectors within the Ministry as part of the institutional evaluation process. This fosters a positive atmosphere of healthy competition, benefitting the work as a whole.

Dr. Mohamed El-Akabi expressed his and the team’s deep appreciation for the recognition from the Minister, acknowledging the hard work of all staff members in various units such as content creation, social media management, and media monitoring. He shared that, under the Minister’s leadership, the media department had significantly increased the frequency of press releases, doubling the amount issued each month.

Moreover, El-Akabi revealed that the Ministry had launched Egypt’s first fully AI-powered media system. This innovative system can generate written, audio, and video content and manage the Ministry’s social media accounts effectively, ensuring even greater reach and efficiency in the future.

Mohamed Abdel Moneim, the head of the Ministry’s media office, highlighted that the last few months had seen a substantial increase in the department’s output, with press releases published 150% more frequently and their coverage in both print and digital media rising by over 200%. This surge in media coverage also led to a greater presence of the Ministry’s work in both broadcast and print media.

Nahla Sadeq, Director of Media Affairs at the Ministry, discussed the role of the Ministry’s media monitoring team, which tracks all related media coverage. This has helped streamline communication efforts, ensuring a swift response to current events and better interaction with the public’s inquiries.

In a similar vein, Essam Shaheen, who oversees digital media for the Ministry, noted a remarkable improvement in social media content. The Ministry’s platforms reached 17 million people in the past three months, with a total of 3.38 million followers across all social media accounts. Video content generated around 3.5 million views, with platforms such as LinkedIn and TikTok contributing to increased engagement. The use of AI-generated videos also garnered significant attention, further enhancing the Ministry’s online presence.

This recognition underscores the growing importance of strategic media management in advancing the Ministry’s mission and connecting with the public on critical issues related to social welfare.
