Rotary Int’l President to Embark on Landmark Visit to Egypt

Rotary International President,  Stephanie Urchick, will visit Egypt from January 23rd to 26th, concluding her ongoing tour of Africa. Following visits to Uganda, Kenya, Senegal, and Tunisia, President Urchick’s journey to Egypt underscores Rotary’s dedication to service and community development.

Under the leadership of District Governor Sherif Adeeb, Rotary Egypt will showcase the organization’s profound impact across the region. Egyptian Rotary clubs have spearheaded numerous service and development initiatives, prioritizing sustainable change through community engagement and collaborative partnerships.

Accompanied by esteemed Rotary International Board members Emmanuel Katongole from Uganda and Tom and Catherine Gamb from the United States, President Urchick will engage with both local Rotary projects and Egyptian officials. The itinerary includes visits to iconic cultural and historical landmarks, alongside site visits to Rotary-led development initiatives that exemplify the organization’s impact within Egypt.

A key objective of the visit is to strengthen the partnership between Rotary Egypt and the Egyptian government. President Urchick will meet with government officials to explore avenues for enhanced collaboration, amplifying the impact of Rotary’s work both within the country and on a global scale.

District Governor Sherif Adeeb, alongside past and incoming governors, and other esteemed Rotary leaders, will warmly welcome President Urchick. A significant highlight of the visit will be a special gathering with Rotary members in Cairo. During this event, President Urchick will discuss recent initiatives and share her vision for Rotary’s future in Egypt, reaffirming the organization’s commitment to sustainable development and community empowerment.
