It is with profound sadness that we share the news of the passing of Mona El Degwy, Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees of MSA University and General Director of Dar Al Tarbiah Schools and a member of the Top 50 Women Family. A pioneering figure in modern education, Mona’s contributions to the educational landscape in Egypt and beyond were immeasurable. She leaves behind a remarkable legacy of dedication to the development of young minds and the enhancement of educational practices that will continue to inspire generations to come.
A Lifetime of Commitment to Education
Mona El Degwy’s journey in education began in 1980, when she took on the role of director at Baby Home School. With an unwavering passion for children’s education, she spent over four decades shaping the futures of countless students. Her leadership was marked by a consistent drive for excellence and innovation, transforming the schools she led into beacons of modern education in Egypt.

The Visionary Behind the American and British Departments
One of Mona’s most notable achievements was the establishment of the American Department at Baby Home Schools in 2003. Her leadership ensured that Baby Home Schools not only met international educational standards but excelled in delivering an American-style education that prepared students for success on the global stage.
In 2010, Mona extended her expertise to Dar El Tarbiah Schools, where she assumed the role of director for the British and American departments.
