President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi participated in a ceremonial event on “Egyptian Women and the Ideal Mother,”. The event was attended by key government figures, including Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Minister of Planning and Economic Development Dr. Rania Al-Mashat, Minister of Environment Dr. Yasmine Fouad, Minister of Local Development Dr. Manal Awad , Minister of Social Solidarity Dr. Maya Morsy, President of the National Council for Women Amal Ammar, and several prominent female leaders from various sectors.
The event commenced with a speech by Ms. Amal Ammar, President of the National Council for Women, who outlined the council’s efforts to support and empower Egyptian women. She particularly highlighted advancements in areas such as social empowerment, the promotion of women to leadership roles, and the development of Egypt’s National Strategy for Women’s Empowerment 2030.
Additionally, Dr. Maya Morsy, Minister of Social Solidarity, and Dr. Rania Al-Mashat, Minister of Planning, provided an overview of the government’s initiatives aimed at supporting women, including social protection programs like “Takaful and Karama.” They discussed the increase in financial aid for Egyptian families and single mothers, alongside efforts to enhance women’s economic empowerment within the framework of Egypt’s Vision 2030. The event also featured a documentary film that showcased the state’s ongoing efforts to support women in Egypt.
An interactive discussion followed, where President El-Sisi engaged with participants on various key topics, including women’s issues, motherhood, childhood, Alzheimer’s disease, and the influence of art and media on shaping Egyptian public perception.
