Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli opened yesterday “Ahlan Ramadan 2023” main exhibition in the Faisal neighborhood of Giza.

On the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, the fair provides basic commodities at affordable prices for citizens nationwide, as directed by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.

Madbouli was accompanied by Minister of Supply and Internal Trade Ali Moselhi, Giza Governor Ahmed Rashed, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Giza Chamber of Commerce Adel Nasser.

The fair lasts till the end of Ramadan, the ninth month of the Muslim calendar, expected to start on March 21 or 22.

Earlier this month, President Sisi instructed the bodies concerned to start “Ahlan Ramadan” exhibitions early this month, earlier than scheduled.

Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli said staple commodities are offered at the outlets of the “Ahlan Ramadan” exhibition, annually held nationwide, at up to 50 percent discounted rates.

He said discount rates range from 15, 20, and 50 percent for some products.

The State is working with the private sector to ensure that all staple commodities are available for all households at reduced rates for as long as four months, Madbouli noted.

The fair lasts till the end of Ramadan, the ninth month of the Muslim calendar, expected to start on March 21 or 22.
