The Prime Minister, Moustafa Madbouly, emphasized the importance of promptly addressing the electricity crisis, particularly by reducing the duration of power outages, in accordance with presidential directives.
He stated that the government is actively developing strategies to resolve this crisis at the earliest opportunity.
He delivered the comments on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, during a meeting focused on addressing the electricity crisis and strategies to mitigate load-shedding.
According to Egyptian Gazette the meeting was attended by the Minister of Electricity, Mohamed Shaker, and the Minister of Petroleum, Tarek Mulla, in addition to several senior officials.
The prime minister is expected to provide televised statements to elaborate on the extent of the crisis and the government’s strategies for addressing it.
