The National Council for Women (NCW) participated in a ceremony held at the Egyptian Grand Museum (GEM) to honor women on the occasion of International Women’s Day. As part of the celebration, a three-day exhibition was held under the rubric of “The Women’s Store.”
The exhibition showcased Egyptian women’s various products from the different governorates.
The NCW said in a statement that the exhibition included a display of the entrepreneurs’ products, including handmade carpets.
The products varied between macrame shapes for Ramadan decorations, leather wallets, and hand-embroidered and printed bags, adding the statement.
It further said that the exhibition also included a live demonstration of the making of decoupage dishes with visitors who frequent the museum.
