Yesterday, the National Council for Women organized a workshop on risk management at its headquarters and via video conference in cooperation with the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development. The workshop targeted the Council’s General Secretariat employees at the central bank and branches.
Dr. Hassan Ibrahim Saleh, Director General of the General Department of Crises, Disasters and Risk Reduction at the Central Department of Strategic Management at the Ministry of Planning, Economic Development and International Cooperation, attended the workshop.
The lecture included the most critical points related to risk and crisis management, including physical risks and ways to secure information. These positively affect the implementation of the Council’s objectives between the departments and entities affiliated with the Council to provide services that benefit the public interest and citizens, in addition to risk management and its integration with the Council’s strategic map.
During the workshop, attendees discussed several issues related to managing risks specific to the Council’s projects and activities and how to manage them to achieve maximum benefit and support the success of ongoing projects. The workshop also included an application of self-assessment of risks and control in the various departments of the Council by identifying potential risks, classifying them and their causes, and determining a strategy for dealing with these risks.
The points discussed during the workshop are expected to support the Council’s projects, which in turn will support the strategic framework for women’s empowerment in Egypt 2023.
