The National Council for Women recently held a meeting with a number of officials from the Dutch Embassy in Cairo and the UN Women, within the framework of the National Family Development Project and the Presidential Initiative for a Decent Life, and within the Digital Savings and Loan Groups Project.
The meeting aimed to present the progress made in the digital savings and lending groups project “Tahwisha”, which the Council is implementing in cooperation with the Central Bank and several development partners.
During the meeting, the financial facilitators of the project highlighted the impact of the project on women in digital savings and lending groups in their villages and the extent of the economic and social benefits that these women gained through supporting them with various training within the groups.
