Egypt’s women’s volleyball team advanced to the final of the 2024 All-Africa Games after defeating Kenya 3-2. The two teams met on Friday evening in the semi-finals, which were staged in Accra, Ghana.
The match began with Egypt falling behind in the first and second periods with scores of 23-25 and 19-25 respectively.
Egypt regained the initiative and won the third period 25-17 and continued their lead by winning the fourth half 26-24 before concluding the match with a decisive victory in the fifth period with a score of 15-13.
Egypt’s women’s volleyball team will play in the final on Saturday against Tunisia. Tunisia reached the final after beating Ghana 3-0.
Meanwhile, a third-place match will be played between Kenya and Ghana.
This final qualification is the first for Egypt’s women’s volleyball since qualifying for the final in 2003.
