National Council for Persons with Disabilities Celebrates Egyptian Women’s Day

In honor of Egyptian Women’s Day, which is celebrated annually on March 16, Dr. Iman Karim, the General Supervisor of the National Council for Persons with Disabilities, extended her deep appreciation to all Egyptian women, especially those with disabilities, for their immense contributions to society. She emphasized the council’s ongoing commitment to supporting and empowering women with disabilities in various fields.

Dr. Iman Karim: Egyptian Women are Role Models of Resilience and Success

Dr. Iman Karim, in her statement, said, “Egyptian women have always been and will continue to be exemplary role models of dedication, resilience, and strength. They are a cornerstone in building a more inclusive and just society. On this important day, we reaffirm our commitment at the National Council for Persons with Disabilities to support and empower women with disabilities in all fields, ensuring that they have the opportunities to fulfill their aspirations and actively contribute to national development.”

She continued, “Women with disabilities in Egypt have proven time and time again that they can overcome challenges, achieving remarkable success across various sectors. These women are a living testament that disability does not hinder ambition or creativity. In recent years, under the directives of the political leadership, there has been unprecedented support for this group, ensuring their rights are protected across all sectors.”

First Lady Intisar El-Sisi: A Strong Advocate for Egyptian Women and Women with Disabilities

Dr. Karim also took the opportunity to extend her warmest regards to Egypt’s First Lady, Mrs. Intisar El-Sisi, for being a strong advocate for Egyptian women, particularly women with disabilities. She highlighted Mrs. El-Sisi’s pivotal role in championing the causes of women with disabilities and promoting their role in society, reflecting Egypt’s commitment to women’s empowerment at every level.

“Mrs. Intisar El-Sisi’s continuous efforts in supporting women with disabilities are integral to the significant progress the country has made in recognizing and fulfilling their rights,” Dr. Karim stated. “Her dedication reflects the Egyptian state’s deep commitment to ensuring the empowerment of women and reinforcing their standing in all local and international platforms.”

Women with Disabilities: Key Partners in Building Egypt’s New Republic

Dr. Iman Karim further affirmed that Egyptian women, with their unwavering will and endless contributions, continue to be shining examples of success and resilience. Whether as mothers, educators, doctors, judges, engineers, creatives, or leaders contributing to decision-making, women with disabilities play an essential role in shaping Egypt’s future.

She emphasized, “Women with disabilities in Egypt are key partners in building the New Republic. Their contributions are transforming various sectors, and their active participation is fundamental in the sustainable development Egypt is witnessing.”

Concluding her remarks, Dr. Karim renewed the National Council for Persons with Disabilities’ commitment to advancing the rights of Egyptian women, particularly women with disabilities. “We remain dedicated to continuing our efforts to empower this crucial group, ensuring they have the resources, support, and opportunities they need to contribute meaningfully to Egypt’s progress and development.”
