For the 13th consecutive year, Misr El Kheir Foundation launched the “Iftar for the Fasting Campaign 2025,” a crucial initiative aimed at providing essential food supplies to vulnerable families during Ramadan. The campaign, supported by the Ministry of Labor, was inaugurated today by Minister of Labor, Mohamed Gibran.
During his speech, Gibran expressed his full support for the Iftar for the Fasting Campaign. He lauded Misr El Kheir Foundation for its enduring commitment to providing aid to those most in need, particularly during the blessed month of Ramadan. He reinforced that the government remains steadfast in supporting noble community initiatives that serve the most vulnerable segments of society, reflecting the broader vision of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.
The Minister further acknowledged the vital role played by both public and private sectors in implementing such impactful projects. This collaboration, guided by President El-Sisi’s leadership, showcases the collective national effort to assist citizens who face difficult socio-economic challenges.
The launch event, held at the Nile Ritz Hotel, also saw participation from key figures, including Dr. Nevin El Kabbag, former Minister of Social Solidarity. Dr. Morsy has long been an advocate for the empowerment of women and vulnerable populations in Egypt, and her continuous support for initiatives like the Iftar Campaign highlights her dedication to achieving social justice through impactful, inclusive programs.
Another prominent figure at the event was Amb. Nabila Makram, Head of the Technical Secretariat of the National Coalition for Developmental Civil Work. Ambassador Makram has been instrumental in driving collaborative partnerships between civil society, government, and private organizations to support Egypt’s development efforts, further cementing the importance of community-driven solutions.
Other distinguished attendees included Dr. Osama Al-Azhari, Minister of Endowments, Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports, Dr. Ibrahim Saber, Governor of Cairo, and Eng. Adel El-Najjar, Governor of Giza.
The ceremony, which was beautifully moderated by media personality Sherif Madkour, further underscored the importance of fostering community bonds, especially during the holy month of Ramadan. The presence of these distinguished figures solidified the government’s commitment to social welfare and community-driven initiatives.
Misr El Kheir Foundation’s ongoing efforts, with crucial support from figures like Dr. Maya Morsi and Ambassador Nabila Makram, have continued to make a significant impact, ensuring that vulnerable Egyptians receive the support they need to thrive. This initiative is just one example of the collaborative approach that drives Egypt’s social welfare programs forward, offering hope and assistance to those who need it most.
