Egypt’s Minister of Planning, Economic Development, and International Cooperation, Dr. Rania A. Al-Mashat, participated in a panel discussion titled “Global Trends” at the 43rd World Scout Conference in Cairo on Sunday.
She emphasized the vital role of youth in shaping the future of development and the recent merger of the Ministry to accelerate inclusive and sustainable growth.
Al-Mashat also highlighted the Shabab Balad initiative, which aims to implement developmental projects in collaboration with the private sector, international development partners, civil society organizations, and youth across key areas. She emphasized the importance of empowering youth and tapping into their potential for achieving sustainable growth and increasing economic resilience.
Dr. al-Mashat further discussed the significant role of the World Organization of the Scout Movement in nurturing leadership and personal skills among youth. Her words reassured the audience about the future of youth leadership and the importance of proactive planning in economic development and international cooperation.
The World Scout Conference, held every three years, serves as the governing body and general assembly of the World Organization of the Scout Movement.
