Egypt’s Ministry of Youth and Sports, under the leadership of Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, held a meeting with coordinators and members of girls’ and women’s clubs from across the country. The meeting, organized by the Central Administration for Youth Development, provided a platform for open discussions and feedback.
The session focused on the programs currently offered within these clubs, exploring ways to enhance them for the maximum benefit of their participants. Key topics included the challenges faced by these clubs and the proposal of solutions to further support and elevate their impact. The goal is to foster the development of girls’ skills while simultaneously empowering them socially and economically.
The dialogue was moderated by Senator Dina El-Hilali, who listened attentively to the coordinators’ perspectives and suggestions for the development of club programs and services.
During his address, Dr. Ashraf Sobhy emphasized the vital role these clubs play in raising social and cultural awareness and in developing the skills of girls across various fields. He reiterated the Ministry’s ongoing commitment to supporting these clubs, ensuring their activities continue to thrive, and expanding their reach and impact.
In addition, Eng. Ashraf Adham, Director of Franchise Projects at the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprise Development Agency (MSMEDA), delivered a seminar on entrepreneurship. He explained how to establish and manage small businesses effectively, opening new avenues to support girls and empower them economically.
This meeting aligns with the Ministry’s broader strategy to increase women’s participation in community activities, providing them with sustainable development programs that contribute to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals and Egypt’s Vision 2030.
