Dr. Manal Awad, Minister of Local Development, welcomed Ms. Mai Abdel Hamid, CEO of the Social Housing and Mortgage Finance Fund, at the Ministry’s headquarters in the New Administrative Capital. The meeting, which also included Engineer Alaa Abdel Fattah, Assistant Minister for Planning and Urban Development, focused on the progress of the Social Housing Fund’s ongoing projects across Egyptian governorates.
The discussion highlighted the coordination between the Ministry and local authorities to provide the necessary land for new housing developments in line with the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and the Prime Minister. Dr. Awad emphasized the crucial role of the Social Housing Fund in offering affordable housing options to youth and low-income families as part of the government’s social equity initiatives.
Ms. Abdel Hamid reaffirmed her commitment to ensuring strong cooperation between the Fund, the Ministry, and local authorities to complete the construction of housing units for low-income citizens in various regions.
