“May Elghety” Joins the Cast of Disney’s ‘Kizazi Moto: Generation Fire’
Egyptian actress May Elghety has joined the cast of Disney’s upcoming animated sci-fi series, Kizazi Moto: Generation Fire.
Additionally, Egyptian director Ahmed Teilab has joined the series’ writing and directing team, which features a slew of African artists, according to the “BroadcastPro ME” website.
With its premiere scheduled for 2023, the Disney+ Original is a 10-part anthology that tells futuristic stories based on Africa’s rich cultural heritage.
The animation creators picked an African perspective to imagine new worlds with advanced technology, aliens, spirits, and monsters, stories that touch on other worlds, and time travel to be seen through an African lens.
This animated anthology brings together a new generation of animation stars and creators from Zimbabwe, Uganda, South Africa, Nigeria, Kenya, and Egypt, who will offer their ideas to take viewers across the globe on a wild voyage into Africa’s future.
