The Egyptian Initiative to Eradicate Sign Language Illiteracy just revealed the appointment of Egyptian actress Malak Zaher as an ambassador for the initiative.
The initiative is launched under the auspices of the Ministry of Social Solidarity and the Egyptian Doctors Syndicate, in cooperation with the Egypt Foundation for Health and Sustainable Development, and the She Can Foundation for Development.
It will be inaugurated and inaugurated next Saturday, September 23, 2023, at the Ministry of Social Solidarity Theater.
The main objectives of the initiative are to serve people of determination from the deaf and hard of hearing category, promote the dissemination of sign language culture, link the initiative to the sustainable development goals, launch the national anthem in sign language, translate subway stations and the Mornuel in sign language, and launch the Sign Story program, to expand the scope of sign language among community members.
