L’Oréal Egypt, a prominent global beauty company, has declared the initiation of the 9th edition of its annual flagship Skin and Hair Summit.
This event, organized by the company’s Medical Beauty Division, seeks to present and exchange knowledge about the latest advancements, innovations, and research in support of the field of dermatology, with a specific focus on skin and hair care.
The summit was granted credit hours by the CPD institute and took place at the Salah El-Din Citadel, a renowned historical site in Egypt, and was attended by over 1000 leading dermatologists from Egypt and the Middle East.
The summit included four informative panels on skin and hair health. Dr. Anna Kelly presented on hair science and androgenetic alopecia, while Professor May El Samahy concentrated on progress in acne treatment.
Professor Samia Essmat led a panel on hyperpigmentation, during which La Roche Posay Egypt unveiled a new product. The summit concluded with an interactive anti-aging session featuring Professor Shady Mahmoud and Dr. Amin Sharobeem.
According to the Zawya website, alongside the Skin and Hair Summit, L’Oréal Egypt, under its international brand La Roche Posay, revealed its latest skincare innovation, a new pioneering formula for pigmentary disorders called the new MELAB3. This breakthrough patented molecule, born out of 18 years of thorough research and screenings in addition to 121 scientific studies, is designed to address localized pigmentation issues leading to age spots and post-acne marks.

She noted L’Oréal’s leadership in advanced beauty sciences over the past century, with 35 years of dedicated research into skin pigmentation. She expressed excitement at introducing MELAB3 through La Roche Posay, believing it will have a transformative impact on consumers by not only addressing hyperpigmentation but also improving overall skin health.
