Local Dev. Min. In Talks with MPs about Key National Issues

Egypt’s Minister of Local Development, Dr. Manal Awad, hosted a meeting with several Members of Parliament (MPs) on Thursday at the Ministry’s headquarters in the New Administrative Capital. This meeting was part of her regular weekly consultations with members of both the House of Representatives and the Senate.

At the outset of the meeting, Dr. Awad welcomed the MPs and reiterated her commitment to fostering ongoing political dialogue with lawmakers. She emphasized the importance of addressing the concerns of citizens in their respective constituencies and working in close coordination with local governors to implement effective solutions. This initiative aligns with the directives of Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly.

The discussions covered a wide range of topics, including the resolution of building violation cases, the progress of the Presidential Initiative “Decent Life,” the redevelopment of local markets, the establishment of transport hubs, and the creation of industrial and craft zones to consolidate various commercial and industrial activities. Additionally, the meeting addressed the issue of urban growth boundaries across Egypt, aiming for better planning and sustainable development at the national level.
