In anticipation of the 2025 House of Representatives elections, the National Council for Women (NCW) has announced the establishment of a central operations room at its headquarters, along with branch operations rooms across all governorates involved in the first phase of the elections. These rooms will monitor the voting process and receive inquiries or complaints from women and girls throughout the two-day election period, Monday and Tuesday, 10–11 November 2025, via the hotline 15115, operating from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. on both days.

Counselor Amal Ammar, Chairperson of the NCW, stated that the operations room is fully prepared to track the elections from the opening of polling stations until the close of voting. She emphasized that the Council is coordinating with the National Election Authority and all relevant bodies to remove any obstacles facing women, ensuring full support for their participation in this important national event. She also highlighted the Council’s commitment to encouraging women and girls to actively engage in political life, underscoring the pivotal role of Egyptian women in nation-building and decision-making.

Dr. Rasha Mahdy, NCW member and Coordinator of the Political Participation Committee, added that the operations room will remain active throughout the voting period to receive all inquiries regarding the electoral process and address any challenges encountered by female voters, in continuous coordination with the National Election Authority’s operations room and governorate-level offices.

Ms. Yasmin Zakaria, Director General of the NCW’s Campaigns and Awareness Department, noted that the operations room will collect reports from NCW field teams monitoring elections across the country, tracking women’s participation and resolving any barriers to ensure their effective and meaningful engagement in the electoral process.

The NCW will monitor the 2025 parliamentary elections with 2,000 field observers deployed across all governorates, reflecting the Council’s commitment to supporting women’s political participation and promoting transparency and integrity throughout the electoral process.
