As part of the nationwide initiative “Together with Awareness, We Protect Her” —launched under the auspices of Mrs. Entissar El-Sisi, wife of the President of Egypt—the National Council for Women’s Beheira Branch, led by Engineer Zakia Rashad, hosted a community awareness session at the Family and Child Development Center in Sanhour.
The event, held under the patronage of Beheira Governor Dr. Jacqueline Azar, was organized in collaboration with Raai Masr Foundation for Development, and brought together officials from the Governorate’s Equal Opportunities Unit and the National Population Council.
Raising Awareness, Strengthening Families
The session aimed to educate and empower women with knowledge that strengthens both individual well-being and family stability. The initiative is part of a broader campaign that includes mobile health convoys, free services for women and children, and interactive sessions that address topics such as parenting, reproductive health, family planning, and early childhood development.
Unified National Effort For Egyptian Women Empowerment
“Together with Awareness, We Protect Her” targets grassroots education, emphasizing the link between women’s empowerment and national development. The initiative highlights:
- Maternal health and child development
- Access to childcare and early education
- Health awareness for underserved communities
- Legal and social rights of women
Organizers stressed the importance of investing in children’s early development, supporting working mothers with adequate childcare facilities, and equipping women with the health education and social awareness needed to build resilient families.
Ongoing Local Engagement
The Beheira Council confirmed it will continue holding similar outreach and service activities across the governorate in coordination with partner organizations, government bodies, and local leaders. These efforts aim to ensure comprehensive, inclusive access to resources that improve women’s health, education, and economic participation.
In Parallel: Justice Infrastructure Gets a Boost in Damanhour
In a separate but equally impactful development, Governor Jacqueline Azar and Minister of Justice, Counselor Adnan Fanjari, inspected the historic Damanhour Primary Court building, currently undergoing full-scale renovation.
The tour assessed structural integrity and progress in modernizing infrastructure to meet the demands of Egypt’s evolving judicial system. Upgrades include enhanced accessibility, infrastructure efficiency, and user-friendly services aimed at facilitating faster, more transparent legal processes.
