Huawei, the Chinese technology giant, has launched its Huawei Cloud for Startups 2024 program in Egypt. This program aims to accelerate the growth of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) by providing cloud services, technical support, and training to enhance their capabilities.
The initiative was announced during the Huawei Cloud Startup Summit, attended by several prominent Egyptian officials and businessmen held under the theme “Unleash the Power of Startups.”
Huawei Cloud for Startups 2024 builds upon the success of the Huawei Cloud program, launched in Egypt and North Africa in 2022. Since its inception, the program has supported over 56 startups in Egypt, Tunisia, and Morocco.
During the summit, Huawei signed a cooperation agreement with Entlaq, an Egyptian company specializing in supporting entrepreneurship projects. The agreement aims to provide technology-based startups access to Huawei’s cutting-edge technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI) and cloud computing.
Huawei and Entlaq will offer a joint program allowing startups to leverage Huawei’s high-tech services, while Entlaq will provide consultations to startups affiliated with the Huawei Cloud program. Huawei’s goal as a global ICT company is to facilitate the digital transformation of the Egyptian industry. In September, Huawei unveiled its “Intelligent Future” investment plan, which entails a $430 million commitment over five years to drive innovative transformation across North Africa.
