The Haya Karima Foundation has expressed deep pride and appreciation for Egypt’s election to the United Nations Human Rights Council for the 2026–2028 term, following its receipt of an overwhelming 173 votes in the General Assembly.
This marks Egypt’s third time securing a seat on the Council — and the second under President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s leadership — reflecting growing international confidence in Egypt’s constructive and influential role on the global stage, as well as its ongoing commitment to upholding and promoting all human rights, especially the right to development and a dignified life.
