The Egyptian Fashion & Design Council and the British Council in Egypt have just chosen Hanady Mehanna and Ingy El Mokkaddem as ambassadors for the second edition of the Egyptian Fashion Awards (EFA) in September 2023.
The gala highlights the importance of fashion in Egyptian culture and contributes to fostering a vibrant creative community by celebrating promising fashion talents and the global interest that follows.
Moreover, the 2023 Egypt Fashion Awards will witness the honoring of the best designers to highlight their achievements, according to the following five categories: Young Fashion Designers, Ready-to-Wear Designers, Accessories Designers, and Jewelry Designers, as well as the Women Empowerment Award, which aims to encourage local businesses and initiatives that work to enhance the role of women in society.
The Egypt Fashion Awards ceremony is proud of the distinguished advisory board that includes a group of prominent experts in the fashion scene, including Amina Ghaly, Head of the Design Department at Azza Fahmy Jewelry; Hatem Akil, Founder of Authenticity & Toby for fashion; Josette Awad, Founder and Director of a fashion website Maude; Ayman Faqoussa, Managing Partner of The Code; and Suzan Thabet, Editor-in-Chief of Passion Fashion Magazine.
The finalists will be announced on August 15th. Public voting will start on September 5th. A selected group of judges will choose the winners at the final fashion show and award ceremony on September 26th at Mall of Arabia.
