The Gulf Olympic Committees approved the UAE’s proposal to establish a unified platform for Gulf women’s sports, to become the official reference for the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, and to review the Gulf state’s efforts and experience in empowering women in the sports field.
This came during the 97th meeting of the Executive Office, which approved the proposals that were submitted by the Advisory Committee for Women’s Sports of the Executive Office of the Council of Presidents of Olympic Committees in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, following its second meeting held in the Omani capital, Muscat.

She also reviewed the efforts of the Emirates Women’s Sports Federation to achieve the vision of the United Arab Emirates to consolidate and disseminate the culture of women’s sports and work to develop, improve, and advance it locally and in the Arab world.
Al Suwaidi explained that the UAE seeks to generalize its experience in the governance of women’s sports data, noting that the unified platform for Gulf women’s sports is a pioneering initiative that works to provide a huge database of Gulf female players in various sports, as part of the UAE’s efforts to support everything that would promote Gulf women’s sports to greater levels of development, leadership, and brilliance.
Ghalia Al Mannai, a member of the Board of Directors of the Women’s Sports Federation, presented during the second meeting a visual presentation of the platform project, explaining all the aspects and information that make up the project, stressing the UAE’s keenness to harness its capabilities of administrative expertise and advanced technological systems to provide Gulf women’s sports with a platform that collects the largest amount of digital data and sports news for players in the Gulf Cooperation Council, by linking them to advanced technical services on the website of the Emirates Women’s Sports Federation, to provide an integrated, smart environment that embraces everything new that supports Gulf women’s sports.
The UAE is leading a new phase whose slogan is leadership, sustainability, and growth based on knowledge, innovation, and future technological applications, and its foundation is Gulf cooperation, ensuring concerted efforts to reach the best formulas through which the desired transformation to the digital environment can be completed, which constitutes one of the basic supporting components of the comprehensive development system for Gulf women’s sports.
