In a heartfelt celebration, the General Authority for Health Accreditation and Control (GAHAR) honored the Exemplary Mothers of 2025 in recognition of their remarkable contributions to both their families and their country. The event, held to coincide with Mother’s Day, was attended by Dr. Ahmed Taha, GAHAR Chairman, alongside the Authority’s executive leadership.

During the event, Dr. Ahmed Taha emphasized that the celebration of Mother’s Day and the honoring of these exemplary mothers reflect the continuous acknowledgment of the vital role Egyptian women play in nurturing future generations and contributing to the country’s development. He highlighted the unwavering support of the political leadership for women, as well as Egypt’s Vision 2030, which promotes national policies to empower women in the workforce, providing them with a supportive environment to succeed across various sectors. This, in turn, contributes to a prosperous future for Egypt’s coming generations.

Dr. Taha underscored that the working mothers at GAHAR represent a model of selflessness and dedication, as they skillfully balance their professional and family responsibilities. He stressed that supporting these women is crucial to enable them to continue playing an active role in contributing to the community.

“Honoring the exemplary mothers is not just about celebrating their achievements; it’s about sending a message of pride for every Egyptian mother who dedicates herself to her family and her nation. They are the backbone of a more stable and progressive society,” Dr. Taha said during his speech.

He further noted, “The success stories we are witnessing today are a testament to the resilience and determination of Egyptian women. They are able to balance their family and professional lives despite the many challenges they face. At GAHAR, we believe that empowering women is not just a slogan, but a guiding principle. We provide a supportive work environment that enables them to succeed, because when women succeed, society as a whole thrives.”

Dr. Taha also highlighted that women are a crucial element in the success of GAHAR, as a significant percentage of leadership positions within the organization are held by women. This reflects GAHAR’s commitment to recognizing and nurturing the capabilities of women, as well as their efficiency in taking on leadership roles that contribute significantly to the realization of Egypt’s new health system.

The ceremony saw Dr. Ahmed Taha personally honoring several of the Authority’s working mothers, who were recognized for their exceptional efforts in maintaining a balance between family and professional commitments, as well as their substantial contributions to the growth and success of the institution.

The celebration was attended by Dr. Aya Nasar, Vice Chairman of GAHAR, alongside members of the Authority’s Board of Directors: Dr. Sayed Al-Aqda, Dr. Maihi Al-Tahawi, Dr. Wael El-Darandaly, Dr. Khaled Omaran, Dr. Walaa Abdel-Latif, Dr. Iman Al-Shahat, and Counselor Atiya Hamad, Deputy Chairman of the State Council. Also in attendance were Dr. Nancy Abdel-Aziz, Executive Director of GAHAR, as well as department heads, staff from the Authority’s branches across Egypt, and the honored mothers and their families.

The event concluded with a strong sense of appreciation and gratitude for every Egyptian mother, underscoring their pivotal role in shaping a resilient and united society.
