In a move to strengthen institutional cooperation and bolster Egypt’s diplomatic capabilities,  Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Badr Abdel Aaty met on Sunday, August 31, 2025, with Dr. Solafa Goueli, Executive Director of National Training Academy. The high-level discussion focused on expanding joint efforts in training and capacity-building initiatives within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The meeting underscored both parties’ commitment to leveraging the Academy’s advanced training programs to prepare ministry personnel—particularly mid-level and senior officials—for leadership roles and crisis management challenges. The initiative is part of a broader national strategy to empower Egypt’s human capital and strengthen its public sector.

Dr. Abdel Aaty lauded the National Training Academy as a “pioneering platform” for cultivating future leaders, highlighting its essential role in advancing the government’s objectives of professional empowerment and institutional excellence.

During the meeting, both sides explored the implementation of specialized training programs in collaboration with the Ministry’s Institute of Diplomatic Studies. Discussions also included the potential development of new assessment models for entry into the diplomatic corps, ensuring rigorous selection standards and performance evaluations that align with the modern diplomatic landscape.

This renewed partnership comes amid Egypt’s broader efforts to reform and modernize state institutions, with a particular emphasis on human resource development, institutional synergy, and international engagement.

Strategic Cooperation for Diplomatic Modernization

The collaboration is expected to facilitate enhanced leadership and crisis management training for ministry officials through joint curriculum development between the Academy and the Diplomatic Institute.

The National Training Academy, founded to serve as a central hub for leadership development across Egypt’s public sector, has become a cornerstone in the state’s capacity-building framework. Its partnership with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs signals a significant step toward aligning Egypt’s diplomatic training with global standards.
