After ending the heats in 15th place yesterday, Egyptian swimmer, Farida Osman qualified for the semi-final of the women’s 50m Freestyle event at the 2023 World Aquatics Championships in Fukuoka, Japan.
During the heats, the 28-year-old Osman clocked up 24.86 seconds, while Swedish swimmer Sarah Sjoestroem took the top spot after recording 23.93 seconds.
On Friday, Osman also secured a spot in the final of the women’s 50m butterfly, which will be held on Saturday at 15:08. The golden butterfly achieved a time of 25.74 seconds to finish sixth in the semi-finals and secure her spot in the final, according to the “Ahram Online” website.
