The Egyptian Healthcare Authority (EHA) has launched a women’s health awareness campaign under the slogan “You Are the Foundation”, in collaboration with Parkville Pharmaceuticals, to promote women’s health and raise public awareness in South Sinai Governorate.

Announced by Dr. Ahmed El-Sobky, Chairperson of the EHA and General Supervisor of the Universal Health Insurance Project, the campaign coincides with Breast Cancer Awareness Month, observed worldwide each October to encourage early detection and preventive healthcare among women.

In a statement, the EHA said the “You Are the Foundation” campaign ran for three days in Naama Bay and Soho Square in Sharm El-Sheikh, offering a comprehensive package of free medical services to women in South Sinai. These included blood pressure and random blood sugar tests, kidney function assessments, hemoglobin level checks to detect anemia, and body composition analyses using InBody devices. Participants also received guidance on nutrition and healthy lifestyle habits.

Dr. El-Sobky said the “You Are the Foundation” campaign reflects the Authority’s commitment to improving women’s health as a cornerstone of family and community wellbeing. “Women are the foundation of every family, and supporting their health is essential to building a stronger, healthier nation,” he said.

He added that the campaign surpassed its initial targets, reaching more than 100 percent of its projected beneficiaries during its three-day run. The initiative provided medical and awareness services to women from across South Sinai’s cities—as well as visiting foreign tourists—demonstrating its success in reaching a broad and diverse audience.

Empowering women through health is one of our core strategic priorities,” El-Sobky noted. “The EHA continues to implement awareness initiatives as part of an integrated approach to improving Egyptians’ quality of life and strengthening the national health system.

El-Sobky also praised the collaboration with Parkville Pharmaceuticals, describing it as a model of successful public–private partnership in healthcare. “This partnership highlights how the private sector can complement national efforts to enhance public health and promote community awareness,” he said.

In a statement, Parkville Pharmaceuticals expressed pride in its partnership with the EHA on the “You Are the Foundation” campaign, reaffirming its belief in the vital role of women in Egypt’s social and economic development. The company emphasized its commitment to supporting Egyptian women’s health through high-quality, locally manufactured pharmaceutical products that meet global standards.

Investing in women’s health is investing in the future of the nation,” the company said, noting that the collaboration reflects Parkville’s dedication to improving quality of life and contributing to a healthier, more resilient Egypt.
