In an effort to further position Egypt as a premier travel destination, the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, through the Egyptian General Authority for Tourism Promotion, has unveiled a new promotional campaign titled “Egypt’s Spirit in Ramadan.” The initiative aims to showcase Egypt’s unique blend of spiritual and cultural experiences during the holy month of Ramadan and the festive days of Eid al-Fitr. The campaign will be rolled out across Egypt and key Arab markets, including Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Kuwait, Jordan, Qatar, and Bahrain.
Running for six weeks, the campaign aims to highlight Egypt’s rich array of tourist offerings, from historical landmarks to modern attractions, while emphasizing the special atmosphere of Ramadan. The campaign encourages visitors from the Arab world to explore Egypt’s vibrant culture and heritage, offering an immersive experience that combines both spiritual reflection and festive entertainment. Additionally, the initiative seeks to promote domestic tourism, inviting Egyptians to rediscover the enchanting atmosphere of Ramadan in their home country.
Amr El-Qady, CEO of the Egyptian General Authority for Tourism Promotion, stressed that the campaign reflects the directives of Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Sherif Fathy to harness modern technological tools in tourism marketing. In line with this vision, the campaign leverages electronic marketing strategies, utilizing digital platforms and social media channels to target a broad audience. As online research and bookings continue to rise, these tools provide an effective means of reaching potential tourists.
Additionally, Suzan Mostafa, Director of Tourism Promotion, highlighted that the campaign captures the joyful atmosphere of Ramadan in Egypt, showcasing the country’s unique traditions through videos and short episodes by Arab and Egyptian influencers, focusing on Ramadan and Eid experiences.
On the other hand, Nesreen Othmanli, Consultant at Cairo International Airport, shared that the campaign’s promotional video is being displayed on screens across Terminals 1, 2, and 3, introducing tourists to Egypt’s tourism offerings as soon as they arrive.
In this regard, a dedicated section on the authority’s official website has been launched to showcase Ramadan in Egypt, available at Experience Egypt. The campaign’s promotional video and accompanying short episodes, produced by influencers and content creators from both Egypt and the Arab world, will be broadcast across popular social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat, Google Display, and the Shahid platform, ensuring the message reaches a wide and engaged audience.
