In an effort to promote wedding tourism, The International MICE & Wedding Forum (IMWF) launched its 7th edition on Monday in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt, from December 18–21 at the Rixos Premium Seagate hotel.
The forum serves as the only and most ambitious event in the world that brings together global stars of the MICE and Wedding industry with top representatives of airlines, hotels, and supplier companies for business and relationship development and to share mutual experiences.
The forum is being held under the auspices of the Tourism and Antiquities Ministry and organized by the Turkish travel agency Inventum Global to promote Sharm el-Sheikh as a destination for hosting wedding parties.
IMWF is in high demand among participants, drawing top professionals from highly productive MICE and wedding planners, with total revenues exceeding $1 trillion. As it does every year, the seventh edition of this event will reveal the potential for international business through expert and forward-thinking speakers during the day, one-on-one scheduled B2B meetings, evening events carefully curated by top designers, and international shows.
The forum’s main focus, according to Amr El-Kady, CEO of the Egyptian General Authority for Tourism Promotion, will be on luxury travel’s future.
The company intends to market Sharm El-Sheikh for the next five years by drawing more Indian weddings, as India is a potentially enormous source market for weddings globally, according to Bünyat Özpak, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Inventum Global.
It is worth mentioning that India ranks third globally for the conference, incentive travel, and wedding party exports. It is also the world’s top exporter of wedding parties.
The Indian Event Management Welfare Federation-Global (EMF-Global) is one of the most prominent alliances comprising wedding planners, and the authority took part in its inaugural conference in September 2022. This conference, taking place in the beautiful Red Sea City, increased the city’s notoriety and led to the planning of numerous similar events in December and October of that same year.
